Teaching has nothing to do with me. It is about the student. My job is to remove obstacles. Some students do not encounter obstacles. If they do – if they get stuck- only then do I step in. At the moment I step in, the student must be unable to move forward. Most often their stuck-ness is momentary. As the student seems catatonic in thought, we work together on whatever the obstacle is.
There is no attachment to the student’s outcome other than working with them until their clarity is reached. They can now move further along the individual path that is their discipline.
